Community Focus

We are the official techonology provider for a number of charitable and not-for-profit organisations. Below is a selection of organisations that we have been working with for a number of years to help them achieve their goals with the help of technology.

The Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation (OCRF) has been established to foster research into ovarian cancer - a disease which in Australia claims the life of one woman every 10 hours and often remains undetected until in its advanced stages.

A collaboration between Monash Medical Centre and Prince Henry's Institute for Medical Research in Melbourne, Australia, the Foundation was co-founded by Associate Professor Thomas Jobling and CEO Liz Heliotis.

Lattitude Global Volunteers (formerly GAP Activity Projects) is the original year out organisation. Established in 1972 Lattitude is a not-for-profit organisation specialising in volunteer projects for youth. As a global organisation Lattitude recruits volunteers from many countries including Australia, the UK, New Zealand, South Africa, China and Brazil. We are not about token Voluntourism.

Engineers without Borders (EWB) works in partnership with developing communities both within Australia and overseas, assisting them to gain access to the knowledge, resources and appropriate technologies they need to improve their livelihoods.

The Melbourne Community Foundation aims to generate and distribute philanthropic resources to address emerging social issues and to meet the needs of its communities.

Established in 1997, Melbourne Community Foundation was the first independent community foundation in Australia. Community foundations worldwide are the fastest growing form of community philanthropy. In July 2007 MCF had $33.5 million in capital and 113 sub-funds. MCF offers individuals, families, groups, corporations and charitable organisations an easier and more satisfying way of giving something of real value back to the community that they care about.
